Welcome to the Maher Lab
Long intergenic non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) represent an emerging and under-studied class of transcripts with critical roles in human cancers. Therefore, our lab is dedicated to the discovery and characterization of novel lncRNAs, elucidating lncRNA functionality, and assess their clinical applicability. We are an integrated team of experimental and computational biologists that is tackling these issues by combining the analysis of large-scale genomics data with molecular biology, cellular biology, and biochemistry.
